The ACGC football team (1-0) plays Southwest Valley (2-0) at home on Friday, Sept. 4. The Timberwolves won their most recent game 34-7 over Red Oak. ACGC got off to a hot start with a 53-7 win over Panorama. ACGC has won all three meetings between the schools, winning 54-6 last season, 40-7 in 2024, and 41-0 in 2023.

The ACGC volleyball team (7-0) made quick work of its opponents at its home quadrangular on Thursday, Sept. 3. ACGC picked up wins against West Central Valley (0-4), 2-0, Exira-EHK (3-4), 2-0 and over Nodaway Valley (1-6), 2-0. Individual stats were not available as of press time.
The next set of games for the Chargers is a home triangular on Tuesday, Sept. 8, where they host Madrid (2-1) and Ogden (2-2).

The ACGC volleyball team (4-0) continued its winning streak to start the season with two more victories at the Panorama triangular on Tuesday, Sept. 1. ACGC defeated West Central Valley (0-3), 3-0, and Panorama (2-2), 3-0.

ACGC won its first game of the night in straight sets. While the second set was close, for the most part, the Chargers had little trouble defeating the Wildcats. Kailee Kautzky led the team in assists with 30. Ilana Baumert was next closest in assists with five. Stella Largent had 21 kills on the night. Blair Brown had the second most with 10. Nora Langgaard led the team in blocks with two. Baumert led in digs with 20. Kautzky also hit double-digit digs with 13. Largent and Baumert led the way in aces with four apiece.

The Chargers continued their hot streak with a win over Panorama. Statistical leaders for this game will look familiar this season. Kautzky led in assists again with another 30. Largent led in kills with 24. Olivia Mahaffey was next closest with eight kills. Digs were spread evenly with Baumert leading with 13 and Brown with 10. Four other Chargers had five or more digs. Largent led in aces again with four.

The next meet for the Panorama boys and girls cross country teams is the Madrid Invite on Thursday, Sept. 3. The girls will run against BGM, Boone, Colo-Nesco, Earlham, Madrid, Ogden, Perry, Woodward Academy and Woodward-Granger. The Panthers play two games tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 1, in a home triangular against West Central Valley (0-1) and ACGC (2-0) on Sept. 1. Panorama has won three of its last four games against WCV, dating back to 2023. They have struggled against a solid ACGC program in recent years, with their last win against the Chargers coming in 2018.

Panorama football (0-2) lost to nearby rival ACGC (1-0) in its home opener on Friday, Aug. 28. Panorama left the first quarter tied, 7-7, but those seven points proved to be on the only ones they would score on the night.
Panorama’s one score came on a 43-yard fumble recovery by Reed Draper. Draper was also the team’s leader in tackles with 11 total and seven solo. Cruz Crandall was back under center for another season. ACGC’s stellar defense gave him trouble, going 3/10 for 33 yards and three INTs. The Panther’s leading rusher was Devonne Bell, who had eight carries for 10 yards.
Panorama hopes to bounce back in its game this week against South Hamilton (0-1). Panorama’s lone win a season ago was against South Hamilton, 28-22.
