Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff Blake Michelsen reported a single-vehicle accident occurring on March 18 at 10:20 a.m. at the 3100 block of Highway 25 near Casey. Conner Douglas Mumford, 18, of Adair, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze northbound on Highway 25 and veered off the roadway to the right, then over-corrected and came to a rest once the vehicle nose-dived into the ditch/embankment. Mumford was charged with failure to maintain control. Damage to the Cruze is estimated at $15,000.
