ACGC’s Richter and Baudler selected for 2026 IBCA Pizza Ranch All-Star Game

ACGC girls basketball player Camdyn Richter and coach Brad Baudler were selected to participate in the 2026 IBCA Pizza Ranch All-Star Game for the SW Iowa Region. The game will be held on March 28 at Dallas Center Grimes High School.

The other coach representing SW Iowa is Richard Wettengel of CB St. Alberts. Other players are Elsa Tiefenthaler of Kuemper Catholic, Jayla Williams of Ankeny, Macy Comito of Carlisle, Leah Brauch of Dallas Center-Grimes, Addy Oetker of Des Moines Christian, Izzy Eisbach of Nodaway Valley, Anna Hart of Coon Rapids-Bayard, Avrie Fagan of Earlham, Avah Underwood of St. Albert, Ellie Mueller of Dowling Catholic and Ainsley Kiene of Ankeny.

ACGC girls place 32nd at IATC Championships

The ACGC girls track and field team competed at the 2026 IATC Championships at Iowa State University on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13. The girls tied for 32nd with four other schools, scoring three points. Tessa Slaybaugh had the best performance for ACGC, placing sixth in the long jump with a leap of 14-08.75.

ACGC boys place eighth at IATC Championships

The ACGC boys track and field team competed at the 2026 IATC Indoor Championships at Iowa State University on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13. ACGC tied for eighth scoring 28 points with Sibley-Ocheyedan and Lisbon. Riverside Oakland won the meet with 63 points. Brexton Schneider in the 60-meter hurdles and Luke Brinks in the 200-meter dash earned silver medals, earning the best results for the Chargers.

Panorama girls earn All-Conference honors; Crees named All-Region

Four Panorama girls basketball players earned West Central Activities Conference honors for their performances this season on and off the court. Among them were Morgan Crees, Ashley Crees, Nerea Gimeno-Perez and Ruth Fett. Morgan Crees was also named to the IBCA Southwest All-Region 2 Team.

Morgan Crees was named First Team All-Conference and IBCA All-Region. Morgan was a dominate force on the Panther offense. She led the team scoring at 14.3 points per game, in rebounds with six, steals with 3.3 and assists with three. Crees also hit the career mark of 1,000 points scored this season.

Ashley Crees and Nerea Gimeno-Perez earned Honorable Mentions. Ashley was the team’s third leading scoring at 5.4 points per game, while averaging 4.8 rebounds and just under one steal per game. Gimeno-Perez averaged an even five points per game, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals.

Ruth Fett, Ashley Crees and Nerea Gimeno-Perez were all named Academic All-Conference. In order to be named Academic All-State, athletes must be a senior and meet two of the following criteria: A cumulative GPA of 3.85, ACT score of 27 or higher (1200 or higher SAT), and have a class rank in the top 5% in class 3A/4A/5A or top 10% in class 1A/2A. On the court, Fett averaged 4.5 points per game and five rebounds.
