Charger boys travel to Panorama tonight for conference meet

The ACGC boys golf team competes at the West Central Activities Conference meet at Panorama tonight, Tuesday, May 5. The boys compete against Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.

ACGC hosts West Central Activities Conference meet today

The ACGC boys and girls track and field teams host the West Central Activities Conference meet on Tuesday, May 5. The Chargers welcome Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Panorama, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger for the event.

Panther girls place 2nd at Panorama Triangular, earn 7th at Woodward-Granger Invitational

The Panorama girls golf team hosted a triangular on Tuesday, April 26. The girls shot a 237 to place second. Ogden won the meet, shooting 208. Ogden’s Olivia Coleman was the medalist, shooting 45. Panorama’s Anabel Perez placed third at the meeting, shooting 54. Other Panorama scores were Ava Thompson, 59, Maci Bauer, 62, Miranda Laabs, 62, Alyssa Stanley, 65 and Avery Ambrose, 71. 

Then, on Thursday, the girls competed at the Woodward-Granger Invitational on Thursday, April 30. Panorama placed seventh, shooting 469. W-G won the meet, shooting 354. W-G’s Mallory Polito was the medalist, shooting 85. The best Panorama score was by Anabel Pudenz, shooting 114. Other Panorama scores were Ava Thompson, 115, Alyssa Stanley, 117, Avery Ambrose, 123, Maci Bauer, 124 and Miranda Laabs, 126. 

The girls next meet is the West Central Activities Conference Meet on Monday, May 4, hosted by Pleasantville. The girls golf against ACGC, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.

Panther boys place 3rd at WCAC Triangular, 3rd at Crusader Golf Quad

The Panorama boys golf team shot a 182 to place third at a WCAC Triangular at home on Tuesday, April 28. Pleasantville won the meet, shooting 174. Ogden placed second, shooting 179. Pleasantville’s Kayne Brent was the medalist, shooting a 38. Panorama’s Cole Carstens tied for the third-best score of the day, shooting a 44. Other Panorama scores were: Casey Young, 45; Wilson Clark, 46; Mason Cates, 47; Latyn Ashworth, 47; and Jaxson Stauffer, 49.

On Thursday, April 30, the boys traveled to Coon-Rapids Bayard for the Crusader Golf Quad. Panorama placed third, shooting 159. Host C-RB won the meet narrowly, shooting 158. Bryce Dawes had the best round for Panorama, finishing as the runner-up, shooting 38. Other Panorama scores were Brayden Galvan, 38, Cole Carstens, 41, Mason Cates, 42, Casey Young, 44 and Jaxson Stauffer, 47.

The boys next is the West Central Activities Conference Meet at Lake Panorama National on Tuesday, May 5. The boys host conference foes ACGC, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.

Panorama girls defeat Van Meter, 6-1, beat West Central Valley 2-0

The Panorama girls soccer (6-1) team earned a conference win over Van Meter at home on Tuesday, April 28. Morgan Crees powered the win with a hattrick. The other goals were scored by Nerea Gimeno-Perez, Kailee Kautzky and Ruth Fett. Then, on Thursday, the girls picked up another win at West Central Valley (7-2-1) on Thursday, April 30. Goals were scored by Jamie Fronapfel and Morgan Crees.

Panther boys tie for 7th at Bob Clark Relays

The Panorama boys track and field team scored 48 points and tied with Paton-Churdan for seventh place at the Bob Clark Relays in Audubon on Tuesday, April 28. Logan-Magnolia won the meet with 91 points.

Cristian Monrroy-Nunez had the best placement for the Panthers, earning a silver medal for his toss in the shot put. Panorama won two bronze medals: one by Reed Draper in the long jump, and the other by the 4×800-meter relay team of Zach Hayden, Bennett Allen, Aden Rochholz and Bladyn Wearmouth. Syler Shaffer in the 400-meter hurdles, Cruz Crandall in the long jump and the sprint medley relay team of Shaffer, Hunter Kempf, Braden Bahrenfuss and Blake Schwartz all placed fourth. The next meet for the boys is the West Central Activities Conference Meet on Tuesday, May 5, hosted by ACGC. Panorama competes against ACGC, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Interstate 35, Madrid, Ogden, Pleasantville, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.
