ACGC boys and girls place 3rd at Ogden golf meet

The ACGC boys golf team shot a 215 at a West Central Activities Conference meet at Ogden on Monday, April 13. Host Ogden won the meet shooting 162, just three strokes better than second-place Van Meter. Individual scores were not available as of press time. The next meet for the boys is in Manning on Thursday, April 16. The Chargers compete against Tri-Center, IKM-Manning, Boyer Valley and Underwood.

The girls team also placed third, shooting a 245. Ogden won this meet as well, shooting a 213. Individual scores were not available as of press time. The next meet for the girls is today, Tuesday, April 14, at the Clarinda Golf Tournament. The Chargers compete against Clarinda, East Mills, Glenwood, Griswold, Logan-Magnolia, MVAOCOU and St. Albert.

ACGC girls place 5th at Bill Miller Invite

The ACGC girls track and field team competed in Van Meter at the Bill Miller Invitational on Monday, April 13. ACGC placed fifth with 64 points. Host Van Meter won the meet with 151 points.

The Charger girls earned three medals. The team took home silver in the distance medley relay. Cadence Petersen earned bronze in the 400-meter hurdles. Nora Langgaard also earned bronze in the long jump. The team came close to earning several others with fourth-place finishes in the 4×100-meter relay, the 4×200-meter relay and the 4×800-meter relay. The next meet for the girls is today, Tuesday, April 14, in Earlham for the Earlham Varsity Coed Track Meet. The Chargers compete against Clarinda, Colfax-Mingo, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, Panorama, South Hamilton, Underwood, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Winterset.

Charger boys place 4th at Bill Miller Invite

The ACGC boys track and field team competed at the Bill Miller Invitational in Van Meter on Monday, April 13. ACGC placed fourth with 116.5 points. Winterset won the meet with 164.5.

The Charger boys came home with a flurry of medals. The team earned three golds, one in the sprint medley, one in the 4×110-meter shuttle hurdle relay, and Brexton Schneider won the 110-meter hurdles. The team also earned two silvers, one in the 4×200-meter relay, and the other by Preston Kent in the 1,600-meter run. Kent also earned bronze in the 3,200-meter run. The team earned a bronze in the 4×100-meter relay, the 4×400-meter relay, and Morgun Nolte earned bronze in the 110-meter hurdles. Full results can be found HERE.

The boys return to the track today, Tuesday, April 14, for the Earlham Varsity Coed Track Meet. ACGC competes against Atlantic, Clarinda, Colfax-Mingo, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Greene County, Nodaway Valley, Ogden, Panorama, South Hamilton, Van Meter, West Central Valley and Winterset.

Panorama girls dominate season opener, defeat Grand View Christian 10-0

The Panorama girls soccer team kicked off its season with a bang at Grand View Christian on Tuesday, April 7. The Panthers dominated from the jump, scoring seven goals in the first half. Of the 10 goals, Morgan Crees scored five, picking up her goal-scoring form from last season. Kailee Kautzky and Ines Gimeno-Perez both scored two, and Karli Kautzky scored one. Assists went to Morgan Crees with three, and Kailee Kautzky and Jessican Randol with one each.

Panorama was set to compete against East Sac County (1-0) yesterday, April 9, but was postponed due to the weather until April 27. The girls next game is on Monday, April 13 at home against Greene County (0-1). Panorama is 8-0 all time against the Rams, with the last three scorelines ending 10-0 in Panorama’s favor.

Panorama girls’ golf meet vs. ADM cancelled

The Panorama girls golf was set to host ADM at home on Thursday, April 9 but was cancelled due to weather. The Panthers next meet is a WCAC meet at Jester Park Golf Course, hosted by Des Moines Christian on Monday, April 13. Panorama will golf against DM-C, Interstate 35 and West Central Valley.

Panorama boys golf place 6th at Des Moines Christian Invite

The Panorama boys golf team shot 343 to place sixth at the Des Moines Christian Invite on Thursday, April 9. Atlantic won the meet shooting 304. Individual scores for Panorama athletes were not available as of press time.

The boys have a quick turnaround and compete again today, Friday, April 10 in the Kuemper Triangular at Carroll National Golf Club. The Panthers golf against Kuemper Catholic and Webster City.
